Week 1: vs. Tennessee Titans
Sunday, September 8, 1 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 35-31.
Last meeting: October 22, 2017 -- Titans 12, Browns 9 (OT).
Last Browns win: September 20, 2015 -- Browns 28, Titans 14.
The last time the Browns beat the Titans, Johnny Manziel started at quarterback. The Browns need to put that piece of history to rest.
As an aside, this feels like a mundane opener, but, really, Browns fans are going to be so excited, they won't really care about the matchup.

The Browns will try to hunt down Sam Darnold again in 2019. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 2: at New York Jets
Monday, September 16, 8:15 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 14-12.
Last meeting: September 20, 2018 -- Browns 21, Jets 17.
The NFL gets another matchup between the top two quarterbacks taken in the 2018 NFL Draft. Browns fans will see a familiar face in Le'Veon Bell. The Jets are forever linked with the rise of Baker Mayfield and this presents them an opportunity to grab the early season darling narrative away from him and the Browns.
Kind of underrated storyline: Jarvis Landry facing a team coached by Adam Gase.

Week 3: vs. Los Angeles Rams
Sunday, September 22 8:20 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 11-12.
Last meeting: October 25, 2015 -- Rams 24, Browns 6.
Last Browns win: October 28, 2007 -- Browns 27, Rams 20.
The defending NFC champions come to town for prime-time matchup of former No. 1 overall QBs. This is the first time the Browns are playing the Rams since the move to Los Angeles. Go ahead, say it: Super Bowl preview?
This marks the Browns' first Sunday Night Football appearance since they lost to the Steelers on September 14, 2008.
Week 4: at Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, September 29, 1 p.m.
All-time record: 10-30.
Last meeting: December 30, 2018 -- Ravens 26, Browns 24.
Last Browns win: October 7, 2018 -- Browns 12, Ravens 9 (OT).
John Harbaugh called the Browns the most talented team in the division last month. He'll get a chance to see all that talent firsthand for the first time in an early September tone-setter for the AFC North.

Jimmy Garoppolo missed most of last season. (Tony Avelar, Associated Press)
Week 5: at San Francisco 49ers
Monday, October 7, 8:15 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 19-9.
Last meeting: December 13, 2015 -- Browns 24, 49ers 10.
Former Browns offensive coordinator Kyle Shanahan welcomes his old team, this time as a head coach. Jimmy Garoppolo is trying to deliver on the promise he showed at the end of 2017. The Browns arrow is pointing up and the 49ers hope theirs is, too.
An interesting side note: San Francisco was another possible destination for Odell Beckham Jr. They didn't get him.

Russell Wilson is rich and bringing the Seahawks to Cleveland. (Joshua Gunter, cleveland.com)
Week 6: vs. Seattle Seahawks
Sunday, October 13, 1 p.m.
All-time record: 6-12.
Last meeting: December 20, 2015 -- Seahawks 30, Browns 13.
Last Browns win: October 23, 2011 -- Browns 6, Seahawks 3.
A surprisingly early start against a team coming east.
Seattle's one of those teams that's always best to get early on the schedule. They love to get hot when the weather turns cold.

The Browns visit Foxborough in October. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 8: at New England Patriots
Sunday, October 27, 4:25 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 13-11.
Last meeting: October 9, 2016 -- Patriots 33, Browns 13.
Last Browns win: November 7, 2010 -- Browns 34, Patriots 14.
Get ready to see the clip of Tom Brady handing his rings to Baker Mayfield ad nauseam in the week leading up to this game. The Patriots are always a tough read during the regular season but if the Browns get off to a hot start, they'll have their full attention for this pre-Halloween matchup.

Browns fans are familiar with Denver's new quarterback. (David Zalubowski, Associated Press)
Week 9: at Denver Broncos
Sunday, November 3, 4:25 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 6-23.
Last meeting: December 15, 2018 -- Browns 17, Broncos 16.
The Browns beat Denver for the first time in the new era last season. Now they are two teams heading in different directions, the Broncos clinging to the hope that Joe Flacco will play like he did in 2011 and the Browns counting on their young signal-caller to build on his breakout rookie year.
Let's see how Broncos fans feel about Flacco coming into this week, especially if Denver drafts a quarterback.

Josh Allen and the Bills come to FirstEnergy Stadium. (Joshua Gunter, cleveland.com)
Week 10: vs. Buffalo Bills
Sunday, November 10, 1 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 12-9.
Last meeting: December 18, 2016 -- Bills 33, Browns 13.
Last Browns win: October 3, 2013: Browns 37, Bills 24.
Josh Allen leads a Bills team to Cleveland looking to make a leap in 2019. The Bills were good for an upset last year -- just ask everyone who had the Vikings in their survivor pools in Week 3 -- and if Allen is going to amount to anything, it should start showing by the time Buffalo arrives at FirstEnergy Stadium.

The Browns almost beat Big Ben and the Steelers at home last season. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 11: vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
Thursday, November 14, 8:20 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 58-75-1.
Last meeting: October 28, 2018 -- Steelers 33, Browns 18.
Last Browns win: October 12, 2014 -- Browns 31, Steelers 10.
When the Browns made their run to 7-4 in 2014, the marquee victory was a win over the Steelers at home. The Browns get a break here with their short week to Thursday night featuring back-to-back home games. We'll have some clarity as to how the AFC North race will look over the season's final month-and-a-half and this game could go a long ways towards setting up position for that race's final sprint.

Ryan Fitzpatrick will start for the Dolphins in 2019. (Lynne Sladky, Associated Press)
Week 12: vs. Miami Dolphins
Sunday, November 24, 1 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 8-11.
Last meeting: September 25, 2016 -- Dolphins 30, Browns 24 (OT).
Last Browns win: September 25, 2011 -- Browns 17, Dolphins 16.
Landry will be fired up to face his old team, even if Gase is gone. It might have a little more sizzle if the game were in Miami and the Dolphins weren't focused on the 2020 QB draft class, but, trust me, we'll all be digging for storylines with 10 days to fill between the Steelers game and this one.

JuJu Smith-Schuster had a big year against the Browns in 2018. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 13: at Pittsburgh Steelers
Sunday, December 1, 4:25 p.m.
All-time record (including playoffs): 58-75-1.
Last meeting: October 28, 2018 -- Steelers 33, Browns 18.
Last Browns win: October 12, 2014 -- Browns 31, Steelers 10.
This game takes the national stage again for the second time in less than a month. Want to know if the Browns are really turning things around? Going to Heinz Field and beating the Steelers would be a significant step.

Andy Dalton and Baker Mayfield. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 14: vs. Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, December 8, 1 p.m.
All-time record: 41-50.
Last meeting: December 23, 2018 -- Browns 26, Bengals 18.
The Browns turned the tide in a big way in a series recently dominated by the Bengals. There's no more Hue Jackson on the sideline, but Andy Dalton, whose season ended against the Browns last year, is back. The Bengals have a new head coach, but they're the team fighting to stay out of the AFC North cellar now.
Teams have been able to get fat off the Browns late in seasons. The Browns might get to return the favor with two games against the Bengals in December.

Will it be Kyler Murray vs. Baker Mayfield? (Sue Ogrocki, Associated Press)
Week 15: at Arizona Cardinals
Sunday, December 15, 4:05 p.m.
All-time record: 33-14-3.
Last meeting: November 1, 2015 -- Cardinals 34, Browns 20.
Last Browns win: November 16, 2003 -- Browns 44, Cardinals 6.
You like storylines? This game could be surprisingly full of them. First up: Mayfield vs. Kliff Kingsbury; second: Mayfield perhaps facing his old college teammate and fellow Heisman winner, Kyler Murray; third: Freddie Kitchens returning to Arizona where he coached in various positions before making his way to Cleveland.

Lamar Jackson beat the Browns in his only start against them in 2018. (John Kuntz, cleveland.com)
Week 16: vs. Baltimore Ravens
Sunday, December 22, 1 p.m.
All-time record: 10-30.
Last meeting: December 30, 2018 -- Ravens 26, Browns 24.
Last Browns win: October 7, 2018 -- Browns 12, Ravens 9 (OT).
Will the AFC North hang in the balance when these teams meet for the second time? If you're hoping it's not, there isn't much help for you as a football fan. The league has to love that idea, too, especially if it can build up the longterm potential of a Mayfield vs. Jackson rivalry.

Joe Mixon had a big Year 2. (Joshua Gunter, cleveland.com)
Week 17: at Cincinnati Bengals
Sunday, December 29, 1 p.m.
All-time record: 41-50.
Last meeting: December 23, 2018 -- Browns 26, Bengals 18.
Imagine a world where the Browns are the team with something to lose in a finale -- aside from a high draft pick. That could be the case when they travel to Cincinnati. What will be at stake? The division? A Wild Card? Will they already be set in a position? Or, to Browns fans' dismay, will they be playing out the string on a disappointing end? Everything's on the table, which is kind of exciting.
The December schedule is a friendly one outside of the Ravens and Steelers, so that will help the Browns if they scuffle early.
